As a few of you know, I've been to Thailand quite a few times. It's amazing just how many he-she's you see there (not just in Bangkok either). I saw quite a few on my last visit in Chiang Mai, young men wearing make up during the day looking very girlish but in men's clothing. To me they look a little confused as to who they should or should not be.

Folks, I'm pretty sure the "leg" poking out of the lettuce dress is actually the sidewalk behind the dress. The dress appears to be long and covers the legs. I can't imagine a man who tries THAT hard to look like a woman would forget to shave his legs!

They're transexuals, not transvestites. Even if that cabbage does have a caterpillar hidden in the leaves, it's still started the transformation into an honest-to-goodness woman from the top down. A transvestite would've worn a stuffed bra and left it at that.

Technically then, they're not even queer, so perhaps we'll be the only ones studying them this year.
