Hilarious!

But I smell Photoshop - can't quite put my finger on it yet.

I suspect the first and third are genuine and the second is photoshopped.

Check out the soldier-line similarity of the chicks waiting together, and check out the blurry area above the chick that's stepping out onto the grate.

But still, freaking hysterical.

Birds are much thinner than they look.

Follow-up: If this fellow is to be believed, then he took the above photos, and they are not photoshopped. And all but one duckling were rescued shortly after the photos were taken.

Second picture looks photoshopped to me. The mother duck's shadow doesn't appear to darken the endangered duckling.

And of course if he photoshopped them he wouldn't admit it.

Photo #2 has been retouched - no question about it. From the touch ups, I figure the lead duck was exactly in front of the line of three and moved up. The belly of ducks 2 and 3 in the line of three are solid brown whereas the belly of ducks 1 and the lead duck are textured. If the lead duck were right in front of the line of 3 and moved, the belly's of ducks 2 and 3 would need to be filled. Since its solid brown, I can't tell - I can only point out that the bellies are different. The pavement below the line of 3 has been clearly "dusted over" with a repeating verticle slice of pavement from elsewhere and the grate under the lead duck has been dusted over also. Moving the duck from right in front of the line to underneath the mother duck supports russoto's observation that the lead duck is not in shadow (were he in front of the line, he wouldn't be) but now, he should be.

This may not show up very well but look inside the red circles:

Heh! Well Photoshopped or not, the idea of a little ducky falling in the sewer is not a happy thought!!!

But babies following their mother is always cute.
