Shell account advice wanted

I find myself in need of a shell account to run an IRC eggdrop bot.

Does anyone know of a reliable provider that will allow this?
Is there an experienced botmaster in the house who can advise me on administrative matters? Setup and maintenance especially.

Thank you

Brian

Shell Providers

Brian,

You may want to check out http://www.jtan.com/. Based in PA, and they have lots of good options.

US LEC (Formerly Netaxs, Earthstation, and FASTNet) no longer offers new Shell accounts, and is maintaining their current ones. I know, I use theirs for testing .

Wait, now Netaxs belongs to someone ELSE? I just got through with dealing with FastNet's customer service a month or two ago, trying to figure out where my webspace had vanished to, and now I have to dig up yet another set of phone numbers?

(Still using my same shell account from 1995.)

I gave up my shell account from 1994 because of the CRAP that I had to go through with FASTnet.

Yes, on their 3rd owner since I started colo with them in 2000

I colo 3 servers there at Conshohocken for a customer.

It's been Earthstation/Netaxs, FASTNet, and US LEC since I've had them there (December 2000).

It's been 4 owners since I bought my shell in 1997.

The colo staff are still the same .

the colo?

Were you asking about the colo? They've been handling it there by the number of rack units and bandwidth (I've got burstable T1 and .gov pricing because it's for the state of NJ). The prices won't apply to other customers.
