The USPS United States Postal Service do a remarkable job, and in some ways getting better.
In the past when I'd send a Christmas card to a dead address it wouldn't come back until the end of January or even February.
This year four came back, three with no forwarding address and one deceased. All came back before Christmas this year.

It's amazing, for pennies you can have an envelope delivered to most anyone in the world, even if they have to use a chopper, boat, or snow machine to get it there. They make millions every year, but congress declared they had to pre-fund pensions so they lose on paper. They have the most sophisticated AI for reading envelopes in any orientation quickly.

Yeah, I know 1st class stamps are going up in a couple weeks, still cheap.

Yeah, I'll use the USPS over UPS any day of the week.

Every place I've ever worked looked like a total shit show from the inside, but things got done and the customer got what they expected or more.

I have worked for Big Oil and now I work for a defense contractor. Both are dumb as hell, and survive only because they either have a product you can't live without, or own a few congressmen, or both.

My local "post office" is a storage company that has some sort of franchise to act as a post office as well. No P.O. boxes, but they'll take packages and meter stuff both domestically or internationally. They are awesome and never busy. I have nothing to add, really, I just thought I'd brag a little.
