Sleep Number Bed

Anyone have one? There's a lot of options. I'm 85% gonna get one.... just not quite sure about the details. Still torn between King vs Queen. and then there are upgrade and cost considerations....

But I'd really just like to know if anyone here has one, and how they like it?

KING! As in TV's, always go for the next biggest size.

We have a queen and I am the one who suffers for it and I'm 5'1" at 108lbs.

As you creep closer toward 50 Jim you may see some performance issues that you hadn't seen previously.

Getting to the point of turning down a quickie in the back seat of the car? Every time I see the back seat in a '65 mustang, or a '69 Corvette, I think no, I must have imagined that.

The problem with getting a bed or a mattress is that you really have to sleep in it for a few nights before you know if it's any good.

The sleep number beds, water beds, tempurpedic beds. All of them. I have no idea if they are any good.

But I do know we need a new mattress too, and I'd pay a lot if I knew for sure it would be a good mattress.

Oh, it's not so bad as all that. De-wave measures are a good thing. They've gone away from interior baffling and now confine water mattresses inside an armored, watertight anti-flooding envelope, which stiffens up a simple mattress no end; also has zip off tops for laundering about once a year on gentle cycle.

But waterbeds do tend to make moving around on top of that mattress more than a bit draggy; thing likes to hang on to you. Hotel rooms' stiff mattresses let you get around a lot easier when you're frisky.

Water beds are horrible, horrible ideas. Don't ever get one. Ever.

Second that (or third, whatever). Pillow-top for the win! Especially for those of us over 25.

Of course there are other options, but the back seat of any car is no longer one. So many far superior choices ...
