Now criminal law requires some burden of proof like intent. However, who's to say a corporate lawyer can't send a letter under civil law to anyone on that list saying essentially "prove you're innocent or we'll litigate you into the ground"?

I guess next, the auto-makers will come after us for removing the radiator cap on our newer cars...

I don't understand the Sony assholery, it's yours, you bought it, you can do whatever you want with it. IMHO.

GM already addressed that. Some GM cars have no radiator cap. You cannot be trusted to see what is inside. Management cut costs. And then blamed unions for stealing your radiator cap.
