I find Carlsberg Export to be a good solid dependable beer.

Good for everyday use.

I had a bottle of Ola Dubh 12 last week. Truly magnificent. I still have a bottle of 16 and a bottle of 30.

I found a box of Newky Brwon on the basement so that is tipple of the moment. We used to drink this stuff by the crate load when we were students. It comes in dinky 12 oz bottles in the US ( british pint is 20 oz).

I'm going to try and Brew up a barrel for the extended (

) Christamas Break, probaby stout.

I bought the kit but never got it going last year.
It's just about finished fermenting now and I will probably keg it this weekend, should be ready just in time for the holiday.

I've done it before, just a few times.

Samuel Smith's Nut brown is my favorite second is Bellhaven Scottish Ale. But they are too expensive for everyday drinking.

For special occasions, I drink Killian's Red and Yuengling Traditional Lager.

For sitting around and drinking, I like Coors Extra Gold.

the liquor store here is having trouble getting my favorite beer (Cole Porter, YUMSTERS!), because the distributor quit coming down here when gas prices went up. and his territory is protected. what a crock, huh? And, they are out of all of the barleywine beers I like. so tonight I had some Oak Barrel Stout. (yea, I'm a beer snob...

)
