			I have to admit that Tunick's work, while often doofy, is occasionally spectacular and evocative.

			I used to put these in IotD, not because they were provocative, but because I was really moved by the HBO special that featured his Naked States, which featured images from all 50 states, and some of the images were really memorable.   Particularly memorable was the New Jersey image, which featured a overweight woman sitting on as bed of rocks looking at the NYC skyline. It was the perfect meld of different textures, the rocks against the smooth skin, the man-made buildings versus the natural woman. It was very moving and Tunick had purposefully captured something special. |
