Does anyone know what a pressure valve driven sound system is? How it works?

Well, it's certainly a real thing, but i can't find any explanation as to what it actually is or what it does.

Got it, they mean valves as in vacuum tubes. Valves is British for tubes

Eats shoots and leaves.
The caption should read 'The fantastic Sounds & Pressure valve driven sound system'. Sounds & Pressure being the manufacturer. |

Thanks UT, Lamp.
Rhianne, I tried searching for "Sounds & Pressure" but all that turned up was a record company, along with recordings they published.

You're right, of course, Bruce. In my haste I misread the piece.
I hope I didn't lead you too far astray. My capitalization is still valid though and I hope it helps to show that 'valve' in the caption refers to what we called thermionic valves rather than pressure valves. Sorry. |

Not at all, Rhianne, the search I referred to was before I posted the picture. UT gave me the first clue that valve meant vacuum tube across the pond. Before that, being the son of a plumber, I was puzzled by that description, and wondering if the pressure valve control was some sort of pneumatic system like a pipe organ. So you see how far afield I was.
