U T 's IMOD today about the middle school kids being overdressed makes me wonder what Ms Jung would do here.

I'm guessing run screaming at them snatchin them up and carrying them off to some undisclosed location to be wrapped in sack cloth. and then flogged......

I'm a "basic black tuxedo" kind of guy when it comes to dressing myself up. But I have to say, I like the stuff shown here a lot better than the icky "powder puff blue" tuxedos that were the rage at the time of my high school years in the mid 80s. (Just think of the Ben Stiller character in "There's Something About Mary" in his taupe tux.)

Except for that red suit, I suspect that'll be in the museum right next to the powder blue of our youth. had me a powder blue leisure suit once, thankfully I also went basic to the prom

Now the red suit is fucking cool. I want to get a suit like that for my 10-year HS reunion next year. Except I want a bright yellow one. We have a store in South Philadelphia, Torre's, that sells wild ass shit like that. I am so there come next spring.

Given the number of shootings that regularly occur at Simon Gratz, I'm not surprised by the obvious police presence at a school event.

Or perhaps they are there to issue citations for fasion violations?

Some of those dresses ... oooh my.

Would have gotten a few girls sent home in my day.

(for the record, I avoided the ritual known as the "Junior/Senior Prom." Went to the movies with people I actually liked, didn't have to buy an overpriced dress I would only wear once.)
