For those of you Cellarites needing translation, "CBOL" is "Chuckled Briefly Outloud" or it could be "Consortium for the Bar Code of Life", depending. This is just in case you didn't know.

along those same lines. . . .

how could you abbreviate/speak online for "guffaw." which often happens to me after reading a good posting, which then caused the reader to exlcaim, "that [blankety-blank] just made me spit my coffee/beer/vodka/red bull on the keyboard. ROFL"

I think fnarr would work here. I use it alot on messenger and its my favourite for getting that snorting sound across!!
Don't know if its what you're lookin for, as it's not much shorter than guffaw....oh well..
