Smile Newbie alert

Hi there Guys & Girls. Just found this place while surfing, I love looking at (and creating) quality images. I do desktops for myself and friends whenever they ask.

My latest effort is attached. I screen grabbed the image from a recent DVD purchase, dragged it into Photoshop 6 and then spent half an hour trying to find the font used on the original as there was no text at this particular point in the piece (if I'm boring you just walk away) <giggle>

The font used was Dutch801 Semi Bold. I blurred the text to match the background and slightly rotated it (it was always on the wonk to look at) tell me what you think.

Res. 1152 x 864 pixels at 72dpi.

Had to type this bit quickly as my original post was 666 characters long (I'm not superstitious ... honest! <giggle>

Welcome Chris!

The image didn't seem to come up ... there are a couple different ways to post images here, which one did you try?

I usually make a point of getting around that one by using IMG. Saves me a LOT of hassle and image resizing.

Hmmm ... sorry about this, the jpeg was 219k if that's any help and the bitmap was 2.194k thought you'd like a nice big image

Hi there, thanks for that, will the max file size still be 100k? ... seems a bit small to me.

You can link to an image that you host, but when you attach a file that means the Cellar is hosting it.

(Do people need cheap image hosting?)

Very cool, Chris!

I'm also a Doctor Who fan from way back. Tom Baker was my favorite (I've heard you always like best the doctor you saw first) with Jon Pertwee running a very close second.

Neat image.

A "lost episode" of Dr. Who was found recently. It reminded me of one of my favorite taglines from my BBSing days:

"Now that takes me back. Or is it forward? That's the problem with time travel. It's hard to tell." - Dr. Who
