And the Lord comes through...with a fine sandwich

One of the biggest issues I have with the city in which I live (Philadelphia) is the lack of big-chain restaurants. We discussed this in another thread several months ago.

Now while we do have Subways in Philadelphia, I've wished for more of them since I've lived here. We have two in the not-too-distant area: One run by Russians who speak little English in Somerton, and another that closes at 8pm every night up in Bensalem Township. They're not that far away--about 15-20 minutes. But I wished there was one closer--like 5-10 minutes. Subway just makes a damned fine sandwich, and if one were closer, I'd eat there a lot more.

God has answered my prayers.

About 3 months ago, I saw a sign on the former Indian restaurant at Street and Knights Rds. in Bensalem, saying that Subway was coming to that spot. It's about 10 minutes from my house.

Great day in the morning! God DOES listen to me! Whoooohoooooo!

It finally opened this past week...mmmm! Fantastic!

But it gets even better...a few weeks ago, Rho alerted me to the fact that the former Carvel outlet at Franklin Mills is also becoming a Subway. That's like only 5 minutes away on a slow day!

Outstanding!
