Saw Potiche a few nights ago

The movie was funny at times, and Deneuve seems to be ageless, whereas Depardieu seems to be on track to become the French Marlon Brando. WTF? It's a good thing he's wealthy 'cause they haven't got pret-a-porter in his size.

The thing I liked most about the film was that it was set in the 1970s and there were a few great nods to 70s cinematography, one was a split screen phone conversation (very 70s) and another was a dreamy beach side contre-jour flashback shot with a star filter to make the sunlight glinting off the waves extra sparkly.

Deneuve also had a cool little red car.

There wasn't a super lot of depth to the story as far as I could tell and I wonder if there may have been more topical humor/meaning to the French.

I give it two toes up. (out of three, obviously)
