It would have been perfect if only.....

....Michele Bachman had lost.

She held onto her seat. Not only that, but after only one term, she is angling for a seat on the Ways and Means committee.

Quote:
WASHINGTON - Rep. Michele Bachmann, who survived an October gaffe to win re-election, is hoping to snag a seat next year on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, which sets policy on taxes and other important issues.
Quote:
It's a long-shot bid for someone just entering her second term in Congress. But lawmakers do try to get members from all regions on the panel, and Minnesota is losing its sole voice on the committee with Republican Jim Ramstad retiring. Bachmann currently serves on the Financial Services Committee.
The freshman Republican had jeopardized her re-election last month when she said that Barack Obama "may have anti-American views," but Bachmann survived by pulling out a 3-percentage-point win in the 6th District race.
Won't that be cozy. Her working with all of the majority 'anti-American' Democrats on one of the most powerful committees in Congress.

I don't think the Republicans are going to have much sway in the Ways and Means committee...

But it certainly would have been nice to see her go.

It would have been even nicer to see CA Prop 8 soundly defeated.

That statement really almost threw her out. I didn't hear anything about Tinklenberg until Bachmann made that stupid statement.

Hey...while we're talking about crackheads, let's discuss one Joseph Isadore Lieberman of New Haven, CT.

My suspicion is that he's gonna have a nose browner than Obama for at least the next 2 years.

She invoked the evil spirit of Sen. McCarthy, and called for the media to investigate Congress to find out who is "anti-American."

I Wiki'd her as well.
Crikey me, where do you get all these mad religious women?
Shouldn't they be home treatiing their husbands like God, according to the doctrine of St Paul?

Wish we knew where we got them, then we could use a rag and some duct tape and plug the hole from whence they come!

Is whence a word? Too lazy to look.

Steel wool works better. They don't like the feel of it when they chew it.
