A print out letter for VA tomorrow. NO BS please. I'm trying to really impress them.

To whom it may concern;

I have a couple of questions.

I had an appointment on the 12/05/07 for a myocardial scan. After driving around 70 miles, I’m told that scan cannot be done, because of medications I’m taking. And the scan I need requires a cardiologist to be present and he only works on Tuesday.
My meds are from the VA. Why cannot some computer program, my dr, or someone at VA check that? I get no travel and gas at around 3 bucks.

Nothing by mouth after 12pm. Then I ask for a meal ticket and people think your nuts!
What happening to the meal tickets? Someone told me it was abused too much. I’d bet a black land farm, that the vets didn’t abuse it. Perhaps the employees of the center abused it?

Why yes. I'm not smart about writing letters. To be taken seriously it needs to be correct. But it's almost too late. I printed LJ's first one out, with a small change. I'm headed to bed, 4:30 comes soon. If I didn't need help, wouldn't have posted. Please read the 1st post. Thanks

Buster, that really pisses me off. I've been given 5 article 15's in my day, and have worked a few months with the loss of 1/2 of one months pay. That money is supposed to go into the VA system so that this bullshit doesn't happen. I personally like the eat a dick suggestion. If you would like me to come and help explain how to get the staff at the VA facility you are dealing with to eat a dick, I'd be happy to oblige. Your service is worth more then what you are getting. What state you live in?

It's probably too late, but if you can, I'd drop th bit suggesting the staff had been abusing the meal tickets.

It's quite possibly true, but it isn't a question that needs answering, and is just going to get whoever reads your letter all riled up and defensive.

How about "Is there some way meal tickets can be arranged in specific cases?"

The letter that Jim composed has got nothing but a phone call yesterday, telling me that the director will reply. In writing.
I guess this is about waste in government. The day that I filed the above letter, I turned my means test form in. Today I got a letter that it needs to be filed.
This form didn't have to be filed until the 27th of Feb. So why are they wasting a stamp to ask me about something that's already filed?

I have way more time than money. I'm compiling a list of big folks in D.C. that might get a letter.
