This just in (my inbox)

A letter from Michael Moore to everybody on his mailing list.

Since the letter is to long to paste here, click here instead.

So far, my only opinion on this is that we definitely need a new resident @ 1600 P. Ave.

Ya know, I used to listen to a lot of what he said and then it seemed to get REALLY old. Too many inconsistencies. Then I saw that documentary we talked about in another thread - that was the last straw for him with me.

It's an interesting read. The perspective is what i would expect from Moore.

I liked that letter. And I like Moore. I don't think there's a single documentary maker working in the industry today, in either of our countries, who doesn't manipulate their facts in order to add power to their message. It's part of the job. Much of mastier stuff that he's been accused of has been soundly rebuffed and constitutes, in my opinion, nothing more than a counter-attack.

I've been watching this guy since he started. I honestly don't care that he made himself a lot of money doing what he does. Lots of people make themselves a damn sight more money doing things that are a damn sight less use to society and a damn sight less noble (in my eyes). People have asserted that some of his facts are flawed or inconsistent...but they fail to answer to the rest of the message, to the rest of the facts, to the baseline accusation of the Right and the damage they have done, globally.

Thanks for posting that Drax. I thought it was very interesting. I also thought his analysis of Hillary was pretty compelling.

He's the Hannity/Limbaugh/Coulter of the left wing.

He used to be really funny. I loved his TV show and bought his books.

Limbaugh used to be funny too, way back in the day. Everything was played for comedy in the late 80s/early 90s. But today it's all about shouting at each other and I can't stand it.

A supposed documentarian who manipulates the facts is a fucking abomination. We are not here to be played like some sort of tennis ball. We need relentless truth.

I can't stand them either - I'm too much a moderate.

Less a counterattack than a reality check. Probably the most convenient place to look might be Moorewatch. There are others which may better suit the polarizations on your personal BS filters.
