Kit Kat Cheesecake
Ingredients:
750gm Cream Cheese (Phillidelphia Cheese) 2 tbsp castor sugar 8 Chunky Kit Kats 250ml Thickened Full Cream I sachet gelatine (10gm ) Juice of 1 sm lemon 1 tbsp chocolate sauce (good quality, thick and rich) Method: 1. Bash the crap outta the kit kats while they're still in their packets. (a rolling pin works nicely for this) 2. pour the contents of 4 kit kats into a microwave bowl and melt (about 30 seconds) 3. smooth melted kit kats over the base of a 12 inch springform pan. (do not refridgerate) 4. put softened cream cheese in large bowl and whip till smooth 5. Add sugar and whip until disolved 6. pour in lemon juice. whip 7. Add chocolate sauce. (you can be more generous with this if you like, but it's going to be pretty rich anyway) 8. Beat mixture until smooth 9. Add gelatine which has been dissolved a small amount of boiling water. Beat. 10. pour in remaining 4 kit kats, mix. 11. Pour mixture into pan over the top of the melted kitkats. The mixture will meld with the melted kit kats on the bottom. 12. Refridgerate till set. Approx 2 hours. There you have it. Kit Kat Cheesecake. It's so easy even a kid could do it. Be careful not to make yourself sick though. It is incredibly rich. It is good served with a good quality vanilla gelati. Enjoy!

well don't forget to make it!
Oh, and I forgot to say, if your springform pan isn't really non stick, you probably need to put some baking paper on the bottom or it'll....well, stick. ![]()

Gotta love a recipe that starts like that. Seriously sounds really good

you could substitute the chunky's for the packs with 4 sticks in them. They'd probably be about the same. I'd be inclined to just roll the rolling pin over them while applying pressure though because they're not quite as ummm...sturdy as the chunky ones.

You most certainly do. In the States they don't have the "chunky" wording on them, but I can't remember what they DO say. If you go into any convenience store they are sure to have them. They are about the size and weight of a regular size Snickers, maybe a bit lighter (50g or so?).

I haven't made it yet. I'm dying to though. Since I only need a spring-form pan for dessert, the money for it needs to come from my fun money, but sadly, that money has been used for other sorts of fun the last couple of weeks.
