Sad day in history!
Some web link led me to this website about the deadly fire on December 1, 1958 at the OLA Catholic school in Chicago.
http://www.olafire.com/Home.asp The story of how it happened and the ensuing tradgedy is pretty amazing. I remember attending an old elementary school in the early 60's when we lived on Long Island, 4 stories with only one outdoor fire escape. Amazing. |
