Urban Coyote

Photographer's Description: There I was driving through suburban Warren when what did I see out of the corner of my eye.....??? A quick Michigan left and then a turn up a drive and then a scramble through a condo site under construction before I got to the edge of the woodlot. The critter was going to get away but some "clucking noises" got its attention. It slowed down and gave me the opportunity to get a shot or two or four off.

A bit of cropping and enlarging and we have a Metro Detroit Coyote.

My daughter's soccer team is the Howling Coyotes. One of the families saw a coyote in their suburban (Michigan) backyard this morning and thought it was a good omen. They were wrong, we lost 12-1.

Beest just told me he thinks he saw one in our our backyard too -this morning. Michigan is being taken over

PA has a coyote hunting season. From here;

Two were shot out in front of the Nuthouse last year. There were at least three of them.
