OK then, how about "Turbo Ignore"?

You know where when someone is put on Turbo ignore, there is no evidence of them whatsoever, not even a little note saying you can't see something, etc.

You wouldn't even see that they'd started a thread. Turbo ignore would be just like the user had never even ever been to the boards.

mmm. I can dream.

I like it. Is this a possible thing or is it still in the conceptual stages?

I believe your wish may have been granted. There now, isn't that peaceful? Let's all gather round the holiday tree and spin a dreidel on a naked virgin or three.

Wow. That's like magic. Kinda creepy, but as long as the power is used for good like this, then I'm all for it.

I thought we'd deployed Cov.
So I was going to drop some amusing hints at how we'd all collectively discovered Ignore...? All all grown up, or a thicker skin or something? The more to spike the barrel.

The most recent incursion was by a person who had been banned before for doing the same things that were being done this time. Back then, UT was given a link to supporting evidence of that person being a minor with mental health issues significant enough to have required professional intervention. He announced in The Cellar that the link was available by PM to whoever inquired. The difference this time is that those extenuating circumstances may have been unknown, forgotten, or ignored.

UT was also given a recommendation that the person be banned until having reached the age of majority to avoid retaliatory abuse of an impaired minor here in The Cellar. His chosen course of action was to impose a short term ban in hope that such a young person would lose interest in The Cellar, move on, and not come back.

The person concerned returned; but, unfortunately hadn't changed (i.e. no life changing SME ... significant emotional event) and the extenuating circumstances hadn't had sufficient time to change or improve that person's disposition legally or ethically. I can't fault The Cellar Administration for earlier leaving open the possibility of a revisit as long as they were prepared to once again remove the minor if the situation became mutually abusive. It did. Worse for wear? YMMV. I believe the circumstances now clearly support keeping the ban in place at least until that impaired minor reaches the age of majority.

sexobon, that's a very good summary.

I do feel somewhat shitty about having called her a racist bitch. I daresay it didn't scar her and was the response she was looking for anyway.

God, I'd be lousy with a teenage daughter.

Especially if she were a loud mouthing, ranting, racist, dyke, bitch. Then, you'd know from pain.

I think you made her happy. That was the reaction she was looking for. Don't feel shitty.
