Lome, Togo`

Got a trip planned in September to Lome, Togo. Has anyone ever been there?? If so, let me know what you thought of it. I would be very interested to hear. We are going to be staying at the Sofitel Hotel on the beach.

The hotel 'star' rating system in Africa:

***** - only The Mamounia in Marrakech (if you have to ask, you can't afford it)
**** - don't believe it
*** - has hot water (at least some of the time)
** - 1 star for each twin bed
* - has something that works (power, water {but don't drink it}, door locks...)

Everytime I see this thread I keep seeing, "Tome, Logo" instead. Which means take the logo. Which of course is pretty nonsensical.

Togo's a country? (frowns, tries to remember back to 5th grade)
