That little purple bag

From another thread...

Leaving aside for now the issue of the quality of the alcohol, that little purple bag is cool. I have one, as do so many of you. But wolf's remark made me wonder what are the other 1000 uses, because mine is used strictly for holding my dice. My leisure hours (and some of my homework hours) were spent in the pursuit of treasure and monsters in the infinite worlds of RPGs. Worlds whose laws of nature and actions of the fickle gods were given structure and substance by those dice.

I don't really remember where the bag came from, since it's been full of my dice since my middle school days, well before I could have legitmately aquired one of my own.

So tell me, what other uses are there. Pick one or more from the poll. Do you keep your stash there? Are you a real rebel using your bag to pamper your Crown Royal? Does it hold your lucky golf balls? Do tell.

Well, that depends. Is it more of a purse or a 'magic bag'?

Marbles in mine, which I've lost.

My cronies and I, back in the day, used them as stash/paraphenalia bags. My grandparents went through a lot of Crown, so we had an ample supply.

i have had many of those little purple bags floating around at different times. i've used them in the garage for loose nuts and bolts. my wife uses them to hold some of her hair clippers for her salon. the rest of the uses require a higher security clearance than any cellarite currently has.

Dice.

Actually I have a great variety of dice pouches and containers ... for a while it was in vogue in my D&D group to keep our dice in vitamin bottles or yogurt cups (remember back when the containers were made of a fairly study plastic and had good, well-fitting lids instead of the flimsy stuff out there now??)

One of my friends who is very into purple used a CR bag as a pouch for her renfair costume.

I gave one to my dad to give to my aunt. They have a scrabble set which doesn't have one of the little bags to keep the tiles in, so there's this annoying between-game period of putting all the pieces face down in the box.

My stepkids use them for everything. Loose Barbie clothes, marbles, extra Transformer pieces... I don't even know an exact number of how many are in the house--my dad used to drink a lot of it and I collected them as a kid.

I could never find the perfect use for mine, so I gave it away. Everything I tried to use it for, just didn't seem right. I don't know maybe I'm anal. (but not high risk)

I had to check. It's been a while since I looked in that drawer.
Anyway- six other CR bags.
I don't know anyone who actually leaves the bag on the bottle until it is empty......

Marbles. My dad has some really old fashioned ones. And scrabble tiles.
Last year my pa gave a bag to grandma in the senior center for scrabble tiles- presented at the weekly tourney, now he can do no wrong, he's hailed as a hero by all the ladies!
