Invent a Darwin Award

Adelaide - Graeme Barry, an employee at a computer service company, was elated when his 19-inch flat panel monitor arrived to take the place of his ancient 13-inch CRT. "I thought I had died and gone to Heaven" the eight year veteran was heard to say.

Little did he know how prophetic these words would be, and that they would soon be among his last.

Mr. Barry teased his co-workers that he was going to throw his old monitor off the top of the building, but none believed him until he carried it off to the roof, with a gay contingent in tow.

Things soon went very wrong, because as Mr. Barry proceeded to throw the heavy monitor over the precipice, he failed to notice the power cord wrapped tightly around his wrist. He had done so himself to prevent tripping over it as he was carrying it up the stairs, but forgot to loosen it, until now as it pulled him to his death.
