Also, I went to a Kiss concert, played the trombone and won a soccer game!

I LOVE IT!

And the old barter system: used to be marbles and rabbit skins in the old old days.

We called my dad's mom Grammy too.

I like how you started to write out "kiss" in your normal writing, and then realized halfway through that it looked uncool, so you drew the logo version.

Now it's beach balls and whole rabbits. Inflation will get you every time.

I had turned 9 in August. Funny, I always thought I was 10 when I went to that concert.

Who took you?

Our 6th grade teacher took all the girls to see the Bay City Rollers.

I bet you were the coolest kid in the class, going to a KISS concert!

This made me think about the first time I went to a concert it was Aerosmith J. Geils opened for them, and I was 14 and not wearin underoos and would have rather died then go to one with my parents. Oh and the tickets were $10!

This isn't the first time the names Sheldon and Underroos have been used in the same story. ;-)

When I was 9 my Nanny was working on a long term plan to erode my self-esteem...

It was probably about the age I started spending significant amounts of time in London with her during the schol holidays. Nothing like as cool as going to a rock concert - but it gave me an inbuilt walking map of London/ the Tube that would be the envy of my teen friends. And after all I got to go to all the tourist sights, which later London emigres amongst my friends admit they've never been to.

Sheldon, please don't make suggestions about yourself and kids' pants, that's really disturbing! (Unless I misunderstand the reference - we don't have them here, just going by the pics)

ETA
forgot to say
damn cool thing to have LJ!

I say we do the flaming poop bag.

Bonus: old man Clemens uses "Judas Priest" as a curse.
