Oct 25, 2009: Horses Inside Out
Gillian Higgins is a physical therapist, horse lover, and a smart cookie. She figured out, people could get more performance from their horses and ponies, while causing less injuries, if they just understood how a horse works.
She came up with the idea of painting the skeletal & muscular systems, right on the horse. That way people could see, and understand, how the inner parts were working together when the horse moves. Bringing textbook pictures to life. Told you she's a smart cookie. Quote:

Because of some sitcom, the name of which is lost in the mists of history, in my household, we call them "horse ovaries."

I understand the paintings of bones and muscles. But what's with the rainbow-colored horse?

This reminds me of one of the scenes from the remake of a House on Haunted Hill where the crazy doctor had a display with a horse and rider....shudder.
