I just found out that my wife may have to go back to Cape Town for the month of March so I am busy trying to figure out a plan of action to go along. She is finishing up a software implimentation at the Chevron refinery there; we went last December for 2 weeks and loved it. The trick is to get their via a Continental air partner that gives full mileage credit. So far Delta is the only one, but we have to purchase K class or higher which will transfer 100% of our traveled miles towards our Elite status with Continental. Tickets are running around $1600 RT and leave Houston and go through Atlanta and on to Cape Town with a stop for fueling in Dakar. Since my wife's travel is all paid for by the client we only pay for my airfare and food and a car rental. Not a bad deal for an almost 2 for 1 vacation.
