I work for a law firm and we get mostly the old standbys...gift baskets containing various chocolates, cookies, etc. The best thing we get all year is a HUGE...and I mean HUGE box of baklava made by Masri Sweets. Oh...and today a local TV station brought us pizza for lunch.

I thought a baklava was something Russian women wear on their heads.

cloud it's skysidhe ( sounds like ) shee Sidhe a Gaelic name. I know I am a terrible speller but I do try to spell phonetically anyway, I bought a whole salmon a week or so ago. It was frozen and the unhelpful wench at the meat counter said they could not cut it...and went on to give me a bunch of fda regulations I could have cared less about. sooo I decided just to cook the whole dang thing and took half to work. Oh it was yummy. That was before the slue of sweets but I agree. I thought if I had one more sweet item I would surely fall down in a diabetic coma. ![]() |

I just misspelled it--I knew how to pronounce it!
and it's slough! ha! or . . . maybe slew? did you slew the salmon? it does sound yummy, though.

Nuffink.
But I had one of Mum & Dad's mince pies earlier. Which Mum has said I can help myself to (as she knows she's in no danger of me filling my boots). So it's kinda like a freebie. |
