Jethro Tull
On Wed 1 March I went to see Jethro Tull in concert, which is only the second or third
gig in about 20 years. Now this is a band I have loved for many a year and I have a good number of their albums going back to (dare I say it) The 70's but I had never seen them live. Oh how I wished I had seen them years ago what a wonderfull show, the band being note perfect only being let down by a less than mixed PA system which had an annoying rumble when they were at full pelt on songs such as Aqualung,Locomotive breath. I knew Martin Barre the guitar player was good but his solo on the song Aqualung made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end it was just so good. They also had a young violinist called Lucia Micarelli playing with them on certain songs and they did a cover version of Kashmir feturing some stunning violin work...(Jethro Tull Playing Led Zeppelin songs) very surreal .. Ian Anderson is an amazing front man keeping the crowd astounded by his antics, jokes and musicianship.. A truly amazing night... |

Bet Anderson can still play for 15 minutes, standing on one leg, with the other foot tucked behind his knee. Freakin amazing.
