01/05/03: Baby Pictures

Hey, folks. Here are a few pictures showing the baby's progress since these past two months.

I love the sling! It allows me use of my hands while still holding and comforting the baby. It's a great compromise -- I can get my stuff done and teach her that its okay to be close to and bond with people. By the way, her umbilical cord stump fell off just yesterday. Now she can have real baths, and I don't have to fold the top of her diapers under anymore.

On a totally unrelated note: two weeks before Christmas, I got a notice from my apartment management saying that I had to remove the Christmas lights from my patio within 24 hours or there would be a 55 dollar fine. On the form, the box labeled "Unsightly Patio" was checked.

Now, these weren't gaudy lights. They weren't even blinking. They were just simple red and green christmas lights. I was convinced someone in management hated Christmas. I was pretty angry, but in the end I never went down there and blew up at them about it. I feared that my anger and frustration at having failed my math class would spill over unneccesarily into this situation and make me look like a dumbass. So, I didn't say anything. We just took them down .

Incidentally, every other tenant in our apartment complex got the same notice and had to take their Christmas lights down. Also, there is absolutely nothing in our leases about it.

Slings are all that. When I had a *cough* colicky baby it was a life saver.

Few things are as serene as watching a baby sleep on Mommy's breast. I didn't feel that way until we had kids, tho.

Nice pics - healthy looking kid.
