Signs that the apocalypse is coming

I happened to wander over to the Southeast Missourian website tonight. The Missourian is the daily newspaper of Cape Girardeau, MO and Southeast Missouri. (Cape Girardeau is a city of 34,000 located 100 miles SE of St. Louis. It is the home of my former college, Southeast Missouri State University, and also the home of Rush Limbaugh.)

Every now and then, I pop over to see what's going on in sleepy Cape. Lo and behold tonight, I came across this:

http://www.semissourian.com/rush/

A website dedicated to that wonderful American conservative knucklehead, Rush Limbaugh. You've heard Rush on the radio, and you may have seen his TV show. But in Cape Girardeau, he is damned near a god. His grandfather was a well-respected lawyer in town. His cousin is a district judge in St. Louis. There is a street named after his family in town. The billboards along I-55 South tout that the city is the home of Rush. The main talk radio station used to pass out bumper stickers that said "RUSH IS RIGHT!" Yet, the man nearly flunked out of SEMO--a school that is, at least IMO, ridiculously easy. I could have gotten a B without doing any work! (Hence, part of the reason I transferred schools.) Then I saw this...anything you want to know about the man and his life...in all its glory.

Ugh...heh...
