Sydney/Melbourne

in Sydney for a few days, then on to Melbourne for a week.

Love to get any suggestions for things to do. Particularly looking for non-tourist, local color, good brew, strong coffee sort of hints.

Also, any suggestions of local wines to bring back in the carry-on?

You can ask Jag, but he'll take about 6 weeks to get you an answer unless you mention that the Aussie gov't needs to relax rules on fully-auto rifles and employ half the Bush administration as a tourist board of the Gold Coast.

"a cup of coffee" does not exist
a "long dark" is a double shot with water
a "short dark" is a single shot with no water
