Monty Python Live (Ticket Help!)

I'm not asking for anyone to book tickets for me.
In fact I need to have my own details on the receipt to ensure I can claim 50% back through one of our work benefit schemes.

I will be in the right place at the right time - not at work, on payday, debit card ready and phone and internet access. I only want one ticket.

But please, please, please can anyone help me in HOW to actually book it?
The O2 direct website information seems to suggest you are best calling a number for AX (?) but doesn't say why. The tips websites say book online and keep trying but don't say where. I have to be careful I am buying a ticket through the correct channels or 50% refund will not happen.

I don't book tickets myself. Well, I haven't in years, so it's new to me again.

Can anyone savvy with this just wade through the layers and tell me what I need to be doing at 10.00 GMT on Monday? I'd like a reasonable seat, but hype says I'll be lucky to get a ticket at all. Whatever. It's on my birthday and I have binoculars

But it seems the only thing that will only do is email me when tickets are available.
I know when tickets are available - 10.00 on Monday morning.

Even the O2 website sends you down the same route. The inescapable conclusion is that you wait for the Email which will give further details; presumably a link.

Point taken. Instead of me being the only person unable to work it out, it really is a system designed to ensure fans rather than faceless machines have a chance.

Just heard that tickets were all sold in the first minute of being available.

I've been mulling a ticketing system that would somehow prevent this sort of nonsense. It would need to give everyone a reasonable fighting chance, protect against scalpers trying to buy up all the tickets, and also ensure that middle-class fans could still get a chance to see the show (i.e., don't just ratchet up the ticket price until demand equals supply.)

I'm imagining a lottery system, attached to social security number, cell phone number (with a verification code sent,) or whatever a reasonable individual identification equivalent might be. There would be a one-week period to sign up, max two tickets per fan, and purchase price would be collected at that time. If your name is drawn, you get your ticket. If your name is not drawn, your purchase price is donated to any nonprofit charity of your choice, in order to prevent people from purchasing extra "chances" to win with their friends' identities.
