The one person that could bring the Democratic Party back to glory is one William Jefferson Clinton of Chappaqua, NY. Discuss.

Honestly, Wolf? Not at all. I was actually thinking about the Clinton/Dole thing coming up on "60 Minutes" (which I happened to catch tonight), and was thinking about how the Democratic Party is in disarray. I don't think the GOP is too much better, but the Dems are just in a pickle at the moment.
Big Ed did a nice job with the party, but let's face it...McAuliffe is a punk. And there's no real direction in the party at the moment. I mean, Jesus Christ, there are absolutely no reasons for some of those chuckleheads to be running for President (Gephardt? Moseley-Braun? Dear God, we're in trouble.). The Dems need someone with the charisma, knowledge, and voice that people are willing to listen to. Indiscretions aside, a lot of folks still like Bill. All Bill would have needed to do was stump for Al in TN, and Al would probably be at the White House now. It's time for the Dems to wake up to reality. They could be capitalizing on the current world situation at the moment, and yet, they're sitting there, figuring out if they want to run for President or not. What a bunch of pudwhackers. The Dems need Bill. And I'm sure Bill would love to play cheerleader for them. |
