Winders questions

Is there a file, program that will tell when winders was installed? I'm thinking mine was 07.
Anyway, I need to repair. Wil try using Fred Langa method. HERE.
But I have not a clue as to my password.
Have a complete bk-up, so will give Active@ Password Changer a go.

To find your original install date, open the command prompt. You can do this by typing "cmd" (without the quotes) into the Run dialog box.
At the command prompt type "systeminfo" (again without the quotes), you can scroll through the data provided which includes the original install date.

Thanks. I installed 3/2/07. Good run with no real bad !@#ups.
I tried "msinfo32" not in there.

This is true. Look for the fifth line from the top, you WILL have to scroll upward to see the line as it flies off the top of the screen. Keep scrolling, it's there (use the slider bar on the black command prompt window).

Shit, I wish I'd known about the Fred Langa method, could have used it several times.
