My favourite was one that was sung by Bolton fans during the Bolton - v - Bury derby. Haven't got it on film alas.

" There ain't no 'L' in Bury! So why are you using our postcode?"

[eta] can defo hear the Manc twang in Blue Moon lol

Also, loving the anti-police vibe on Two hats. Ahhhh Manchester, so much to answer for.

You can see how You'll Never Walk Alone becomes something to sing, but Two Hats? Was that a song before they sung it on the kop?

That's more a chant than a song.
Like the referee's a wanker.
Or perhaps more like score in a brothel, you couldn't score in a brothel etc

This might shed some light on the matter.
The composer of modern football chants interviewed on the South Bank Show

And there's always the old favourite:

"You're goin home in a fuckin ambulance!"

Also: "He killed your nan!" sung by Liverpool fans to Man U fans, referring to murderer Harold Shipley.

and, "Who ate all the pies?,
Who ate all the pies?,
You fat bastard, you fat bastard ,
You've ate all the pies!."

and my personal favorite: "You're so shit it's unbelievable "

@ Sundae: oh I'd forgotten that sketch. Ahhh, back when Rob was funny. I loved him/ He did a gig in Hebden a year or so ago and apparently it was appalling. He was just falling flat. Ended up reverting to his old 90s material just to get a laugh. J thinks he may have been a bit worse for drink.

I've just bought the Mary Whitehouse Experience DVD. From eBay of course, second hand!

That's odd re Newman - I've known a couple of people who have seen him and thought he was marvellous. I know he's much more political these days, but that should be okay in Hebden, surely? Same - I assumed he was doing really well...

I've seen some of his recent stuff and wasn't mega impressed. But, I think the main problem was he just wasn't performing well that day. J said he seemed pissed.

Here's another fan chant from Man U

How wide do you want the goal,
How wide do you want,
How wide do you want the goal.

and:

If I had the wings of a sparrow
If I had the arse of a crow
Id fly over Maine Road tomorrow
And shit on the bastards below below
Shit on
Shit on
Shit on the bastards below
