Phobic NYE

In case any dwellars are interested, Phobic is playing a new year's eve gig. Street Road Bar n Grill, 3631 Street Road, Bensalem.

Tickets for this thing are $25. On the other hand if you asked me nicely I could surely get something knocked off that price... whatever amount would convince you to come out, really.

You know you deserve to spend your NYE in a working-class tavern... whose business is off since the opening of the Hooters next door... and the slots casino down the road. They have a nice-sized stage and dance floor situation, with tables where people eat fried shrimp and Buds and/or Bus Lights. There are pool tables, lots of parking, and the bathrooms are relatively clean for places like this.

Aw hell, I don't sell it too much, but you could do a lot worse and you probably have. It's dumb to sit at home and moan on NYE. It's dumb to just watch it on TV. Why not throw back a few Buds and/or Bud Lights this holiday season, while watching an above-average cover band with a heart and a really good bassist? Nobody is judging you, and besides, I will do my god-damnest to make it safe for you to move your booty. I mean I will play the shit out of it. For you.

I hereby apologize for this spamming, but you can take the thread wherever you like. It's my life, and you are invited.

Dude, I'll take two tickets, face value, if you would only pay the cab driver, please?

Break a leg!

I will definitely try to stop by, I won't stay the entire night as I have other plans. I will certainly not bother you while you're working.

Cool! Well we have breaks, the idea is that we play three sets over 4 hours' time, so chances are I'm a half-hour from a break anyway. Do stop by and introduce yourself, if you are so oriented.

Dance with the trashy chicks at the bar! Have a Coors Light and hear a few songs, then head on down to Philadelphia Park and play some slots.

I'll take it to the top.

Sounds like fun, but I don't trust my house to the reprobates that will be here.

I got to stand next to Carl, which I enjoy because he's... dreamy!

The drunken chix factor was high, or at least the average was thrown off by the petite one in black, there. Her shirt kept kind of sliding down so she was basically dancing around in her bra, at times. Her boyfriend just basically watched from the other side of the bar.

I do not actually endorse Coors Light.

As gigs go, this was a better one, although you dream of having a massive crowd on NYE and this was just an average one. Our cut was rather low, disappointing, but it was all made better by our sound guy Brett. When we have a proper sound guy, we are much much better. Plus Brett likes me to be way loud, and with three bass cabinets pumping just me out, I was living large.

I see. Shirt not Skirt. Nice. To whomever that might not not be riding with me, I was thinking Skirt.
