As most of you might know, I lived in St. Louis for 23 years, then Washington, DC for a year, before moving here last September.

Since moving here, I have noticed several members of the news media that were in the St. Louis market not so long ago: Bruce Gordon & Vernon Shaw (from FOX Philadelphia) and Don Lemon (from NBC10) were all on FOX2 in St. Louis in the mid-to-late 90s.

Well, anyway, on Wednesday, one of these gentleman (I won't say which one) came into my store on Society Hill. He was actually very cool and down-to-earth. I happened to mention that I was a fan of his, and remembered him from St. Louis. He then looked at me kinda strange, and said, "You remember me from St. Louis?" which I said yeah. He said, "You must have grown up there. St. Louis is the worst place I have ever lived. No offense." I had a good laugh over this, as I could completely sympathize with him.

Incidentally, another one of these gentleman (not the same one I just talked about) came into the bank I worked at in St. Louis and pitched a fit once. Apparently, he wanted to cash a check or something, and the other teller wouldn't do it because apparently, he had no ID on him...I don't care if you're Jesus Christ...no ID, no cash. Pbbbbt!
:-)
