I can't believe I'm going to eat. . .

. . . A chicken tikka masala, special naan (about 2.5 feet in diameter), 2 vegetable samosas, and chickpea curry.

I'm going to go up the street and visit the decent Indian take away in an hour or so. Most of my gluttony is premeditated. Is that better or worse than the spontaneous kind?

For what you're about to eat, may Vishnu make you truly thankful.
I envy you.

I am about to eat an aduki bean, spicy tomato sauce, onion and pepper mish mash. Can't call it pasta as I'm not eating pasta. Can't call it curry because there's no rice. Might dig a naan bread out of the freezer, but to be honest the beans are as much carbohydrates as I can manage.

It will be good though.

By me, it's curry if curry powder is the dominant flavor in the entree. Rice, schmice; and I'm backing off some on rice consumption anyway as low-fiber rice will jack my blood glucose. Beans give far less trouble that way.

you should try brown rice UG. It's much better for you, and personally, I like the flavour and texture better. Only trouble is, it takes a lot longer to cook.

Oh, I do brown rice, and greatly hope it indeed doesn't jack my glucose, as the Sugarbusters(tm) promise. In a rice-cooker, I can't tell if it takes any longer or not. But I bet that's primarily because I hardly ever cook any white rice in the thing. We don't keep white rice in the house.

Perry, I'm sure there's got to be something virtuous about planned gluttony...

Imagine Crunch 'n Munch, subtract the nuts and the popcorn, substitute Bugles, which on their own are probably nature's perfect snack food.

I preferred the limited edition Bugle Churros (cinnamon sugar) that were out sometime last year.
