Tomorrow's news today
One of the headlines for tonight's news shows is: a priest was shot and killed by a former victim.
By the end of the week, will we see the headline: "Former Victim Was Sued by Church"? It turns out that the Church has been counter-suing some of the victims who have sued the Church. Of course that might be a reasonable legal approach, but it's certainly one that'll fan the flames of controversy, when an alledged victim is hit with a multi-million dollar countersuit. They'd be most likely to go after someone whose charges were not confirmed. It turns out that this priest was reinstated after the reports given by the victim-turned-murderer. (He was de-frocked a few years later when a second charge was leveled.) If the church was suing this guy, the firestorm will be huge. |

You talking about the priest in Baltimore? I hadn't read that he'd died. Info?

I guess that's why it's called tomorrow's news today.

Naw, you're right, he wasn't killed, just wounded. My jump to conclusions, sorry.
