Here we go again?

I'm a bit worried. Last couple days my left arm has been aching. I thought, well, I need to do my exercises (post-lymphectomy/lumpectomy) more often No problem. THEN I saw an abrasion on my left breast and tonight I noticed my left breast is RED and sorta swollen, though my left arm is not. No fever.

Called the surgeon and she Rx'd some Keflex for me which I got tonight at a 24 hr pharmacy. IF this is Inflammatory Breast Cancer (which is the first thing that ran thru my mind when I saw how red it was) I am going to be HIGHLY PISSED

I can't belive this. If this comes back...aye yi yi. I will be so mad! I'll get a double mastectomy rather than go thru what I went thru last year.

DAMMIT.

I'm probably over-reacting.

Maybe just an ordinary old hair folicle infection or something. Could very well be nothing, so that's what we'll all be hoping for.

thanks, all. I am probably doing my normal over-reacting bit, but I WAS alarmed when I saw how red it was---and yes, it IS the same breast that had that nasty cancer in it. Left side. Probably just some lymph build up that started in my arm and, since it has no where to go, went into the breast, irritated it. Two doses of Keflex in me now. Great thing about Keflex---also clears up any facial skin issues,so should have nice clear skin for awhile!

Hope all's well honey. Try not to worry too much (as pointless a piece of advice as I have ever given!) it's more than likely nothing sinister. *hugs*

Fingers crossed. And of course you're going to be paranoid for a while - just come here and talk about it and we'll reassure you that it might not be the worst case scenario , "Sometimes things don't go after all from bad to worse"
