For Outstanding Contributions to Geekdom

The cool part is that he actually finished it.

Well, the one proper venue for something like that is both the local and the nearer major science fiction conventions.

There's a big Lego nerd convention too.

Friend of mine spent her honeymoon at one. She is now in the midst of the not-so-unexpected divorce.

There is no question that they are his. I believe this is some dispute as to the ownership of at least one of the laptops.

This is some cool stuff too. Outstanding, in fact.

Different element of geekdom from the Lego stuff.

Ooow Wolf, I've been jonesing for Zubbles, forever. I was stoked when the signed a license/marketing agreement in 2005, then nothing, zip, zero. Now they say early 2007, I'm stoked again. Guess they had to figure out how to do the special dye in quantity.

I so want me some Zubbles! Wasted on the kids in the video who can't even blow properly...

I bought my cats some catnip scented bubbles and I've enjoyed them immensely. The boys just sit there baffled (they refuse to look up and see where they're coming from, so the bubbles just materialise at eye height as far as they're concerned). I don't mind, just blowing them is theraputic.

I wasn't impressed by the Lego Death Star. I mean I respect the skill involved and all that, but fo me, the finished product just didn't reflect the effort involved in making it. Perhaps Lego aficionados have more of an eye for this sort of thing...

I had a similar reaction, though as a Lego fan I did appreciate the cleverness of the construction. But in the end it isn't quite as cool as I would hope.

That's why I want the big version of the Lego Star Destroyer.
