Brief outage tonight for upgrade

It's that time again; at some point around midnight EST I'll take the system down for a few minutes for a vBulletin upgrade. It should be fairly painless, although it usually takes me a day or two to migrate all the subtle stuff that is changed from the standard vBulletin, that I have to convert over by hand.

The upgrade is mostly done; I'm rebuilding the search indexes and the system will be slow for a while, but everything looks like it works.

I would really like to change our default design; I think we have earned it and it will give us a certain... gravitas... on the intarweb.

Go for it, dude. Nothin' like a new set of rims and a paint job to make an old ride look spiff!

Didn't even notice the outage ... but I was on the phone with a suicidal guy at the time.

Can't wait to see what you have in mind for the look! Probably gonna be really sharp and all.

Yes, you certainly have earned it, no question. I would like to see a different color scheme. Don't get me wrong, I *like* these colors, like I like my favorite pair of jeans. But I would very much appreciate the ability to change the display, including the colors. There are times when I could use the extra camouflage. I'm thinking I'll have to check out the blog/printer view...

edit: btw, I checked out the "multiquote" option... nice. Thanks, Undertoad.

Ideally, the new style would be the default, but you could still use the old one if you preferred it.

I saw that button, but can't seem to figure out what it does. When I click on it, it just changes back and forth from a plus to a minus.

OK, this is a test.

Edit: Guess I figured it out. For others who may wonder, you click on the "multi-quote" button of the posts you want to quote, and then you scroll down to the bottom and click on "post reply."

Wow, thanks. Five minute service, with a smile.
Wait... Are you smiling? My meal is free! In your face!

Seriously...did I do something wrong? Was it my fault? Are you mad at me? I love you so much it makes me itch.

I think you can get a lotion for that, Sam.
