Another Threat to the Cellar

Lightning is a threat to any electronics that connects to wires leaving the building (without the necessary short earth ground connection). Not all lightning, but a type known as Cloud to Ground (CG). As I write this, a thunderstorm is somewhere just over the horizon. But it does not appear, currently, on this web site because local lightning is probably Intercloud (IC) lightning.

Is the Cellar down? One reason may be viewed here:

The Cellar is located NW of Blackwood NJ (where data is collected) somewhere just above where the second green circle (25 mile circle) crosses a (SE to NW) county line. Displayed is only the significant CG lightning.
