Help Needed Logging Into Cellar!

I'm at my parents for the week, so am logging in on their home PC, rather than from my work. I can access the Cellar fine as a visitor, and can log in fine, but as soon as I try to enter anything, it tells me I am logged out and makes me log in again.

Obviously this means I can still post, change my details, read PMs etc, but only one step at a time. I assume it's something to do with cookies?

If anyone can suggest something simple & generic I can change I'd be grateful. Otherwise I'll get my brother to look at it for me after the weekend.

I would just check the "remember me" box when you log in, and be double sure to click the "log out" link when you're done each time.

I have done In fact I have already tried my brother too (he's here now, take a bow!) and he can't work it out either.... When he tried to log onto his favourite (inferior) forum he is logged out too.

Any further advice really helpful as I have no-one else to turn to (and my bro has just done the worst fart ever so I'm not asking him back!)

Advice from Bro - also tried changing the cookie settings to accept all, but doesn't make a difference.

I've had that problem at other sites but not here,... yet!
The only advice I've gotten, from those sites, is clear the cache.

Something is blocking cookies. Check the security setting of your browser and the security setting of your firewall. An advanced solution is to plant a cookie yourself. Have you tried hitting reply (without being logged in) and using the login that appears when you do that? Sometimes you can squeeze in a post before being "logged out" by logging in through there.

Alternatively, you can download either Opera or Firefox and see if that makes a diff.

You have savvy parents.

They have blocked cookies on *their* PC

I wish my parents were that wise! No, they inherited my sister in law's PC, which is why I thought my brother might be able to help. He works in IT for heaven's sake. But he's baffled.

Seems to be working today - fingers crossed.

Gave up in the end & just socilaised face to face with my family - how very 10 years ago. Had a lovely time actually - will post elsewhere.

At least it meant I had something to look forward to when I came back to work.
