Makes Me Wanna Ralph

Ralph Reed's campaign for Georgia's Lieutenant Governor is tanking because of his links to Abramoff. If he weren't so tainted, he'd probably win, seeing this is Georgia and all. The attack adds for both Reed and his opponent are both ludicrous assertions of their "values." "Ralph Reed believes in traditional values." "Casey Cagle won't sell out Georgia's values." For both, that's Republispeak for anti-gay marriage, anti-evolution, anti-choice. Cagle wants to reinstate the 1956 Georgia State Flag, the one that incorporates the Rebel flag of Confederate lore. Yep. Those are Georgia's values all right. I'll make my futile expression of values tomorrow in the voting booth.

You've got the wrong attitude....don't fight it, embrace it.
Marry your sister, keep them coloreds in their place, run the fags outta town.....eat grits.

Still, he's doing pretty well for a closeted self-hating gay man, don't you think?

Why is it that such guys are so easy to spot? I worked for a guy just like that; like Reed, he burried himself deeply into Christianity to offset the truth of his gayness.

You see a lot of that among both gay men and women here in the South.
