August 19, 2013 - Everything is FREE

I wish!

The brochure I downloaded from the computer also said everything is free, but they lied.
It cost $6 US to go thru the Shrine Tree.

The Shrine Drive Thru tree was once a natural split that cars drove through.
With the advent of bigger and better autos, the opening had to be enlarged.

The marks from whatever tool they used are pretty interesting.
It gives me the impression that they did a lot of the work by hand.
I'm sure someone here knows by looking at the marks.

Plus, the tree was held up by ropes!!

Here it looks a little like a teapot.

The best part was watching people analyze if their van, truck
or SUV was going to make it (one truck literally squeaked thru)
and then watching the photographer shout orders to the driver
to move and stop. I love watching people!

CM: You were very lucky. Those marks are obviously shark's teeth marks.

Maybe they used a

Did you go in the tree houses just before the exit? My family and I were there the same weekend as you I believe.

That is CRAZY! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! I think it is the first vacation my most challenging son has ever said he liked.

We are not these people. Don't know who they are.
