Got My POWER back!!

We had 70 mph winds here in Ohio on Sunday and it wiped out power to 84 of Ohio's 88 counties---just got my internetz back on this evening.
I'm so happy!!!!

Cracks me up that Ohio had bigger Ike effects than Austin did. It didn't even rain at my house.

Yeah, it has been nutty here. Every store out of ice, batteries and flashlights...gas going by the thousands of gallons an hour...just nuts. Biggest power outage in Ohio history, or so I'm told.

Other than a flying awning, I fared well. Both my brothers lost power...it was very sporadic. The gas station right up the road had no power, nor did the intersection south of that. A little further south and all was well.

Instead of heading home for the worst of it, I went to the bar, where my friends and I hung out on the side porch and ooohed and aahhhhed over the storm. It was quite intense. I loved it!
