98 WOGL Live radio remote at Family
Yeah.
oldies 98 is here. right now...as I type this....They have a slot machine and way too much enthusiasm. Every Monday night this month. I just don;t get enough oldies in my musical diet. someone come kill me. please. I'm begging you. I wonder how many of their listeners buy chryslers and jeeps. I could see this at a buick or an oldsmobile dealer. I guess it;s better than last time....we had WXTU "the new country" last time. that was fun.....all 7 of their toothless hillbilly fans came out and sat around the showroom so they could remind us of how attractive we all are by comparison. I'm thinking Y100 or WMMR or even WYSP or 610WIP would have made a lot more sense.

yeah, i know it was written long ago, before i was born in the year 2BL ( before Lumberjim), but when I think of "oldies" i think doowop, motown, Elvis and surf music. Steppenwolf, The Strolliing Bones, and classic rock like that is timeless.

ok, so i was wrong. they're here again.
today is the big one. they're giving away a PT Cruiser. there is a line outside my door registering for their chance. what a zoo. i'll be nice and surly by the time i get to forks tinight, so be forewarned. more bbq, more oldies, more toothless mooches with bad taste in music loitering in the showroom. sigh.
