This guy is amazing.

I've researched archery a bit (played an archer in D&D), picked up little tidbits such as the Welsh Archers being able to pierce plate armor within a 60 yard kill-zone. But I had no idea how much of the 'true archery knowledge' had been lost.

I watched a documentary on the similar issue with how swordplay is portrayed on the big screen. Much of how swords were actually used is unknown to most. I don't have the info in front of me, but they gave a short list of films with accurate swordplay. There was a lot about a particular sword trainer who choreographed things such as the Princess Bride, and even wore the Darth Vader suit while appearing in some classic Star Wars scenes.

Cellar, do your thing, and somebody know who the guy I'm talking about is.

Bob Anderson.

ETA: He was also the sword master for Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean.
